MIV with IIV
MIV with IIV is a collaboration programme with International ICT Volunteers who will assist to carry out ICT projects, ICT training & development and promote ICT volunteerism in Malaysia and within the region.
With MIV with IIV program, a few hand-picked students from the MIV with IHEs shall learn from the IIV volunteers on how to carry out the ICT volunteerism. For the initial project under the MIV with IIV banner, the MIV with IIV students will be selected based on their availability during semester breaks. However consecutively, the students selected must be based on their performance during the MIV with IHE program.
Priority will be given to students who lives nearby the selected location. However accomodation may be provided depending on the applications received.
The KIV programme also known as Korea ICT Volunteers (KIV) that is organized and managed by National Information Society Agency (NIA).
KIV programme provides partner countries and organisations with ICT learning courses or ICT-related projects to meet the demands of partner organisations, sharing ICT knowledge and skills..
The KIV programme focus on three (3) ICT developmental areas namely, IT training and education, IT projects & initiatives and IT project consulting.
Volunteers shall attend a compulsory workshop (location TBA) before being despatch to respective Internet Centres.
Criteria:
- Passionate in doing ICT related volunteering activities
- 18 years old and above
- Current student is Malaysia Institute of Higher Education (IPTA/S); and
- Resides in the surrounding of the selected Internet Centres and its vicinity – those residing outside the selected Internet Centres areas but have some connections i.e. hometown
